There are many ways that Austin Community College alumni can make an impact on our alumni community and support the current students. The Austin Community College Alumni Network is always on the search for enthusiastic alumni who are interested in getting involved with our programs and events.

Volunteering Options

  • Shared Interest Groups - We are building networks to maximize their alumni interest and talent to support each other and current students in their social and professional interests.
  • Mentor - Make a Difference in a Student’s Life, Become a Mentor!
  • ACC Story Project: In honor of our 50th Anniversary, ACC is collecting the voices and memories of those whose lives have been touched by this institution whose mission has evolved to support multiple generations of Central Texans. We want to add your voice. Our mission is to build connections, encourage compassion, and share stories.
  • Workshop Presenter/Speaker - You can help current students and fellow alumni by sharing your experiences and offering guidance, insights and advice. If you have an internship or entry-level job opportunity, or to learn more about additional opportunities to assist students sign up and we can send you more information.
  • Alumni Network Advisory Council- Network members select a group of alumni volunteers to an Advisory Council on an annual basis. Sign up here if you are interested in learning more about serving as a council member.
  • Experiential Committeee- Designing meaningful experiences such as special events and other engagements.
  • Philanthropic Committeee- Financial and in-kind support of ACC including: supporting scholarship(s), Amplify ACC/Amplify ATX, Boots & Bats Gala-artwork and experiences to auction.
  • Volunteer Committeee- Building steady volunteer engagement, i.e. advisory council members, student recruitment and career mentors, public advocates, and classroom speakers
  • Communication Committeee- Social Media planning/posts, 50 Years of ACC Story Project, and measuring/benchmarking social media interactions.
  • Event Volunteer - Our event volunteers play an integral role in the success of events. We need volunteers to assist with a range of activities that include setup, registration, greeting, and break down.
